Poomy's Story

I am a self taught baker based in the heart of Soweto in White City Jabavu and specializes in home baked cookies which caters for events, breakfast and lunches.

I started baking in my early teens and I enjoyed it so much that I started baking and selling cookies when I was still looking for a job and earned a living from it back in 2004 - 2006.
I stopped selling since I started working full-time, during this time I would bake during my spare time.
I usually baked for friends and family events, I've lost count of the number of times they have encouraged me that I start baking as a side job. But the idea of working full-time and part-time baking was a bit too much then.

During November 2022 again a thought crossed my mind to start a baking business, this time I wanted it to be a well established business. An idea of Poomy's Crafts came to mind which consists of Poomy's Cookies, Poomy's Skin Care and Poomy's Cosmetics.
Poomy's Cookies operates under the umbrella of Poomy's Crafts, since November 2022 . We provide freshly prepared baked cookies at all times.
